Director, Instructor for Level I, Level IB, and Level IC Massage Therapy Programs, Mike also teaches several advanced massage therapy classes such as: Auto-Immune Issues, Blending Multiple Techniques, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy, On-Site Chair Massage, Orthopedic Massage, Shiatsu/Tui Na, Soft Tissue Release, and Sports and Injuries Massage and various internships.

Locally owned and operated by Mike L. Metzger, Chico Therapy Wellness Center was established in 1989 and through his skillful vision, direction and creative nature the center was licensed by the state of California in 1992, and it has since become the largest and most well respected massage school in the north valley.

California State Assembly has awarded Mike and Chico Therapy with the award for excellence.  Mike has traveled the world acquiring over 3,000 hours of training. It is through these many years of training and his love for teaching that Mike has earned an incredible reputation for his healing techniques and creative teaching style that sets the tone at C.T.W.C. today. In addition to Mike's natural friendliness, he has a sincere desire to help individuals reach their goals.

Mike is also very active in the community: he was the official massage therapist for the Chico Rooks for 8 years and on the Chico Heat Baseball medical team for 3 years, and currently the therapist on the Chico Outlaws medical staff. He is actively involved with charities such as Relay for Life, St. Jude Foundations, Boys and Girls club, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, and various high schools, colleges and church fundraisers as well. A quick walk through the school halls, filled with memorabilia and gifts from alumni and grateful clients reveals why Chico Therapy Wellness Center is the largest and oldest massage school in the north valley.
